The foodservice industry needs to embrace the Internet of Things (IOT) technology to improve, according to a recent BUNN blog post. The author asks the question, “In foodservice why are we relying on our operator to first tell us that equipment needs attention when we have the technology to make possible Remote Equipment Monitoring?”
“The quicker we start using Remote Equipment Monitoring technology, the better it will be for all involved: operators and guests,” the author writes. Not only will new technology set the bar for customer service, it can minimize lost revenue as well.
