Vagabond, the mobile vending operations platform, announced the release of its new Vagabond 1.2 mobile application onto the iTunes and Google Play app stores. The latest version enables any person with an Android device to download the Vagabond application onto their mobile phone or tablet. Vagabond 1.2, in addition to Android compatibility, includes upgrades that further enhance the day-to-day mobile experience for vending operators, drivers and warehouse teams. Primarily focused on the mobile piece of the application, the new release forms the foundation for substantial web-based developments planned for release in conjunction with the NAMA OneShow in late April.
Prior to today, the Vagabond mobile application was available only to operators using Apple iOS devices. The latest release includes a mobile snapshot that enables vending operators to see the most urgent aspects of their daily operation on one screen – which machines require attention, what products are running low, and the day’s sales results. In addition, the new load improves data handling in areas of weak cellular service and bolsters the capabilities of the back-end infrastructure. The revision lays the groundwork for a complete overhaul of Vagabond’s web product, to be released at the end of April, the entire focus of which is to provide operators more detailed reporting information and real-time analytics they can use to better manage labor costs, product selections, and profitability.
