When Chattanooga, TN-based Five Star Food Service acquired Canteen’s third largest franchise earlier this year, it gained a considerable service footprint in central Kentucky, southern Indiana and western Ohio. Simultaneously, it expanded its digital advertising footprint in those markets.
Five Star employs Lightspeed Automation’s Vision location-based digital advertising platform. Vision enables operators to push marketing content to TV monitors in locations. Operators control content deployment and length to promote products, sales and client messaging, among other subject matter.
“We have really enjoyed the flexibility that LightSpeed’s Vision program has given our operation, and we are eager to roll it out to the nearly 500 micro markets Five Star recently brought on board,” said Five Star marketing vice president C.J. Recher.
Recher said that the ability to run promotions on screens in micro markets will be a big part of Five Star’s growth and customer experience strategy.
“Five Star continues to lead the way in digital advertising and promotions in the micro market space,” added LightSpeed sales and marketing vice president David Marler. “They have found a unique way to use the screens to really drive customer engagement.”
