CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Compass Group North America, the leading foodservice management and support services company, has unveiled a mobile dining application that allows customers to explore menu options that are both great tasting and good for them.
Available for free download on iPhone and Android smartphones, the app provides access to menus, nutritional information, hours of operation, news, promotions, and special events at cafes and dining centers across the nation. Customers also can provide direct feedback to cafe management.
The app pulls content, data and images from existing dining center websites to help busy, on-the-go consumers make healthier choices. Users are able to view detailed nutrition information for each entree and search for selections that meet specific dietary requirements. For example, diners seeking vegetarian, vegan, low-calorie or low-sodium fare can choose delicious, healthy items that support their personal wellness goals.
The app also will soon include ordering and loyalty rewards program features, according to Mike DeMarco, Compass Group's vice president of Field Systems Solutions.
"This app was developed to meet the evolving and diverse needs of our customers, and we're delivering on the power of personalization by providing tailored content based on individual consumers' tastes and preferences," DeMarco said. "Personalization and mobility are increasingly important components of the customer dining experience, and the release of this app is a natural extension of our vision to develop innovative tools that enhance that experience."
