Dot’s Pretzels LLC is expanding its line of pretzel twists with the new Honey Mustard variety. It’s the third seasoning in the snack-maker’s pretzel offering, joining Dots Original and Southwest flavors.
Existing Dot’s products have built a strong and loyal customer base, the company said, hundreds of whom submitted requests via social media for a honey mustard flavor. The company responded and began development of the new flavor more than a year ago.
Each pretzel flavor is created by Dorothy Henke, also known as Dot, and held to the standard of her own original seasoning.
“We are so happy to finally have the honey mustard flavor reaching shelves and the hands of our fans,” Henke told Vending Market Watch. “We want everyone to have a Dot’s flavor to enjoy so it's important for me to listen to feedback from everyone out there eating Dot’s.”
Founded in 2012 in North Dakota, Dot’s Pretzels has experienced significant growth in the past year. The company said it is the third-largest pretzel brand nationally in terms of sales volume. Once only available in the Midwest, Dot’s Pretzels are gaining national distribution. Dot’s also makes cheese curls, chicharrones and pretzel bars.
Dot’s Pretzels are sold in a full range of sizes, including 1.5-oz. personal and 5-oz. snack bags for vending and micro markets.
