Daiya launches dairy-free pizza in U.S. and Canada

Following a multi-million-dollar bakery upgrade at its LEED-certified manufacturing space in British Columbia, Daiya launched its reformulated dairy and gluten-free pizzas.

Following a multi-million-dollar bakery upgrade at its LEED-certified manufacturing space in British Columbia, Daiya launched its reformulated dairy and gluten-free pizzas.

The refreshed products boast a lighter, fluffier, and crispier gluten-free crust, according to the company. paired with Daiya's reformulated cheese made with Daiya Oat Cream blend. This cheese, crafted with plant-based cultures, reportedly offers a rich, creamy, and meltier texture.

In the U.S. market, Daiya’s line includes several flavors: Cheese, Meatless Pepperoni, Supreme, Fire Roasted Veggie, Meatless BBQ Chick’ and Meatless Meat Lovers.  Beyond Meat meatless sausage, meatless pepperoni and plant-based chicken shreds complement the fresh-frozen vegetables and plant-based cheese.

In addition, Daiya introduced the Diavola flavor exclusively for the Canadian market. Inspired by the traditional Diavola pizza — which translates to "of the devil" in Italian — Daiya's version combines plant-based salami-flavored slices, red jalapeños, red onions, chili flakes, and its dairy-free mozzarella atop a gluten-free crust.
