Protein nut rolls for snackers seeking natural, organic treat

Genius Gourmet teamed up with the maker of Skippy brand peanut butter to develop Skippy Inspired Protein Nut Rolls.

Genius Gourmet teamed up with the maker of Skippy brand peanut butter to develop Skippy Inspired Protein Nut Rolls. Promising the sweet and salty taste and chewy texture of a nut roll candy bar, the bar has 0g of added sugar.

Sold in 10-count packages, the nut rolls combine caramel and salted, roasted peanuts around a peanut butter-flavored core. Each bar has 210 calories, 11 g of protein, 6 g of fiber, and 2g total sugar.

Genius Gourmet is developing other products with Skippy brand in 2025, according to the company. The nut rolls debuted at Expo West.

Hormel Foods Corp. acquired the Skippy brand in 2013.
