Carlos Pagoaga named Coca-Cola vice president

The board of directors of Coca-Cola elected Carlos Pagoaga as vice president of the company. Pagoaga will serve as vice president of global community affairs and president of the Coca-Cola Foundation. He began his duties on June 1.
In the role, Pagoaga manages all Foundation operations, including grantmaking, financial requirements, and regulatory compliance for domestic and international philanthropy. He previously served as the Foundation’s senior director, circular economy, where he was responsible for directing global recycling initiatives. Pagoaga joined the Foundation in 2007 and has directed multiple large grants such as the Replenish Africa Initiative, Project Last Mile and Atlanta Beltline.
He joined Coca-Cola in 1990 in Corporate Latin Affairs and managed relationships with Latino organizations and elected officials. He later moved to the company’s North America unit, where he managed multicultural communications.
