Amcon Distributing Co.'s revenue improves in 2022 first quarter

Amcon Distributing Co. (NYSE American: DIT), an Omaha, NE-based consumer products company, announce fully diluted earnings per share of $5.18 on net income available to common shareholders of $3 million for its first fiscal quarter of 2022, ended Dec. 31.

The company's wholesale distribution segment reported revenues of $410.6 million for the first 2022 quarter, compared with $404.7 million in last year's first quarter, and operating income of $7.4 million. The retail health food segment reported revenues of $11.9 million and operating income of $0.5 million for the quarter

The food distributor said its Healthy Edge Retail Group continued to play an important role in the wellness of the communities it serves.

Amcon is a wholesale distributor of consumer products, including tobacco products, candy and other confectionery, beverages, foodservice and groceries, along with paper, automotive and health and beauty care products.
