Foodservice and facility management giant Sodexo said it has hired Matthew C. Wagner as senior vice president of business development for its North American sports and leisure division.
Sodexo said Wagner will be instrumental in “guiding its ambitious growth efforts in the years ahead, using his deep wealth of experience to lead business building initiatives on behalf of Sodexo and Centerplate’s partners.” He will report to Sodexo Sports & Leisure North America chief executive Steve Pangburn.
Wagner previously served at Delaware North, a Sodexo competitor, where he led various development teams. The Cornell graduate’s credentials also include jobs at Solidifi, First Niagara Bank, Goldman & Sachs and M&T Bank.
Sodexo Sports & Leisure North America is a services provider to cultural destinations and event venues, including the World War II Museum in New Orleans, the Seattle Aquarium, the famed Hollywood Bowl and Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. It works with Centerplate, a Sodexo company that provides guest experiences to stadiums, arenas, convention centers, performing arts centers, zoos, aquariums and amusement parks, among other venues.
