The Chef Spotlight program will highlight stories and recipes throughout the year.
PHILADELPHIA – The nation’s largest foodservice company launched a program that will celebrate its diverse culinary talent. Aramark’s Chef Spotlight, which kicks off this month, puts the spotlight on chefs who have had an impact on the organization and its guests. The program calls for Aramark’s culinary development team and employee resource group to select the recipes that will be featured.
Aramark’s employee resource group, which is voluntary and employee-led, is made up of individuals with common interests, backgrounds or demographic factors such as gender, race or ethnicity. They include Aramark Impacto (Hispanic), Aramark Pride (LGBTQ+), Leaders and Employees of African Descent (or LEAD), Aramark Empower (women), Aramark Rising Sun (indigenous), Aramark Salute (Veterans), Aramark Synergy (interfaith), Aramark Thrive (individuals with disabilities), Aramark Dietitians and Aramark Young Professionals.
Last year Aramark created an executive diversity council to advance equity and inclusion among its employees, client partners, customers, suppliers and communities.
“Food unites us all and we’re looking forward to celebrating these chefs and sharing their unique stories as part of our Chef Spotlight program,” said Ash Hanson, Aramark’s chief diversity and sustainability officer.
