Tea, More Breakfast Options Among Trends Datassential Predicts For 2020

Datassential, upon review of ideas from its thought leaders, surveys. databases and trend prediction engine, has made several predictions of food trends for 2020, its resident trendologist, Mike Kostyo, writes for SmartBrief.

Kostyo remarks that politics, a possible recession, further workforce entry of Gen Z and new technologies are among the factors in play.

Trends predicted include more use of wearable technology, plant-based options, creative restaurant concepts, additional breakfast options, tea and micro-farming, he writes.
