Santa Monica, CA, City Council Approves Minimum Wage Hike

The Santa Monica City Council has voted to raise the minimum wage at most businesses to $15 per hour by 2020, the Los Angeles Times reports.

According to the source certain nonprofits and employers with fewer than 25 employees are granted an extra year to comply with the $15 per hour minimum wage.

The law will come before the council in two weeks for another reading.
