Campbell Named To Dow Jones Sustainability Indices

CAMDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB) has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index for the sixth consecutive year and the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for a fifth consecutive year. These independent rankings recognize Campbell’s leadership in supporting long-term shareholder value while creating a more sustainable environment and making a measurable difference in its hometown communities.

  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 4.4 percent per tonne of food produced;
  • Reducing water consumption by 2.6 percent per tonne of food produced;
  • Achieving a waste recycling rate of more than 83 percent worldwide;
  • Logging more than 20,000 volunteer hours in the U.S. and Canada in local communities;
  • Providing more than $1.7 million in grants through the Campbell Soup Foundation to nonprofit community service organizations, with more than half dedicated to agencies serving the city of Camden.
