Spindrift Beverage Co. Inc. expanded its product offerings with Spindrift Soda, a beverage that, like the rest of the company’s product line, contains 20% not-from-concentrate fruit juice. Spindrift Soda is offered in five flavors — Concord Freeze, Ginger Ale, Orange Cream Float, Shirley Temple and Strawberry Shortcake. It does not contain added sugar, stevia, or prebiotics.
Each serving of Spindrift Soda has 8g of naturally occurring sugar from fruit juice. The new beverage is available on the company’s website now and will be distributed nationally through select retailers later this year. A portion of all sales will be donated to Kiss The Ground, a nonprofit that promotes regeneration and healthy soil to support regenerative agriculture.
What they are saying
“The origin of Spindrift Soda came from a simple question: could we take our way of making real ingredient beverages — which we have mastered over the last 15 years — and take it to its most extreme?” said Bill Creelman, founder of Spindrift Beverage Co., in a press announcement. “The answer is ‘yes,’ and it’s delicious. Spindrift Soda is our most ambitious product to date. There’s nearly 3/4 of an orange in every can of Orange Cream Float!”
“We knew that Spindrift making a soda would mean challenging the very foundation of the category,” said Jon Silverman, senior vice president of innovation at Spindrift, in a release. “While other sodas rely on added sugar, artificial sweeteners, flavoring systems, or claims around gut health, we chose the simpler, more authentic path. Our soda gets its delicious taste the way nature intended: from real squeezed fruit.”
“Spindrift has changed the sparkling water aisle, and we’re ready to do it again in the modern soda aisle,” said Dave Burwick, Spindrift CEO, in a release. “This is exactly what made me so excited to join the company, diving head-first into category-defying products that challenge consumer expectations and reward them with exceptional taste and quality ingredients.”
