Per Food Safety News, the Coca-Cola Co.has recalled some Minute Maid products due to the potential presence of foreign matter, specifically metal bolts or washers. The juice recall applies to a limited quantity of refrigerated Minute Maid Berry Punch, Strawberry Lemonade, and Fruit Punch in 59-fl.oz. cartons.
Also, Coca-Cola Co. recalled various Coke and Sprite products packaged in 12-fl.oz. cans due to the potential presence of foreign matter, the Defense Commissary Agency reported in late November.
Both the Minute Maid and soda recalls are voluntary.
Food Safety News said the recalled Minute Maid products were distributed in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. DCA said the recalled soda cans were mostly distributed in the Southeast.
The following products are affected by the recall:
- Minute Maid Berry Punch, date codes Jan0422 NP and Jan0522 NP, Batch 0010323455 and 0010259344 (recall F-0276-2022).
- Minute Maid Strawberry Lemonade, date code: Jan0322 NP, Batch: 0010259346 (recall F-0277-2022).
- Minute Maid Fruit Punch, date code: JAN0522 NP Batch: 0010323454 (recall F-0278-2022).
- Coca-Cola 12-fl.oz. cans, date code: AUG 1522 WM B.
- Coca-Cola 12-fl.oz .cans, date code: AUG 1522 WM C.
- Sprite 12-fl.oz. cans, date code: AUG 1522 WM B.
The expiration date for all recalled products extends into 2022 (August for the sodas), which means buyers might still have the beverages stored somewhere.
