Nathan's Famous Snacks Awarded "Best New Product" By Convenience Store News
Inventure Foods, has received a "Best New Product Award" from Convenience Store News (CSN) for its Nathan's Famous Honey Mustard Crunchy Crinkle Fries. The award, presented at the recent NACS Show in Las Vegas, honors outstanding new product innovations geared towards the convenience store industry. The Nathan's Famous Crinkle Fries – a baked snack chip inspired by Nathan's Famous Crinkle-Cut French Fry Potatoes – won the top honors in the salty snacks category of this year's CSN Awards.
Chosen by a consumer panel administered by a New York-based research firm, entries into this year's "Best New Products Awards" were rated on the basis of taste, value, convenience, healthfulness, quality ingredients, preparation requirements, appearance and packaging.
"The unique shape created to resemble the restaurant's french fries, combined with flavorful seasoning is what makes our Nathan's branded specialty snacks a success," said Steve Sklar, senior vice president of marketing for Inventure Foods, in a prepared statement. "The 'Best New Product Award' provides great third-party validation to our concept, and it's a great nod to our R&D team and the Nathan's brand in general."
Inventure Foods manufactures the Nathan's Famous snacks under a licensing agreement with Nathan's Famous, Inc. The snacks were introduced to grocery, vending and convenience store channels in the fourth quarter of 2011.
