FacilitiesNet takes look at how workplace cafeteria spaces are evolving

As employees return to offices in greater numbers, some workplace cafeterias and cafés are becoming areas for socializing, collaboration and meetings, according to recent article published by FacilitiesNet.

Repurposed foodservice areas could help accommodate hybrid remote/in-person work models. As areas devoted to workstations shrink, cafeterias and pantries could expand in size and become collaboration destinations, the article said. 

The FacilitiesNet article showcases cafeteria spaces redesigned by Boston-based architectural firm Dyer Brown.
