For any unattended retail technology, the ability to effectively process payments is key. For its Autonomous Retail Merchandiser (ARM), Structural Concepts has teamed up with Cantaloupe Inc. as its payment processing system.
In announcing the change, the company notes that while Cantaloupe is the default system going forward, it will continue to offer options that support operator requests to use their preferred merchant of record.
The new Cantaloupe configuration requires minimal setup, say the companies, and is required to activate an account. The setup will allow an operator to start selling using its automated retailing equipment more quickly than before, the company says.
