Fixturelite’s newest collection, “Off the Wall,” offers a timely solution for micro market operators who are committed to creating the safest environment possible for their clients while enhancing the consumer experience.
Troy Geis, an experienced operator of ten years who co-founded Fixturelite, the leading supplier of micro market retail displays, equipment and design tools, said interest in the collection, which debuted last year, has skyrocketed since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
The Sled and the Flex Cabinet in the Off The Wall Collection allow micro markets to take on a more spacious feeling by bringing key fixtures and services off the wall and into the center of the room.
“We want to get the crowd away from the snack racks and move that traffic out into the room. Instead of having so many people standing close together. By offering shopping on multiple sides of the retail component in the middle of the room, social distance is created.” Geis said.
The Sled
Fixturelite’s Sled makes your products the star players in the break room with features that set it apart and free up wall space, all while helping your customers be socially distanced.
As a multi-sided retail display, it holds a hearty eight shelves worth of product, which can easily be stocked with product pushers and rails with pegs. The 4-foot-long Sled is a modular unit that is compatible with all of Fixturelite’s collections and can quickly be doubled in length when two are placed side-by-side.
“The Sled arrives almost completely assembled, so setup time is very minimal, and because it uses the exact same shelving and pegging system that our Executive and Performance snack cabinets use, your planograms easily transfer,” Geis said. “You literally can take the shelf out of your Executive or Performance snack cabinet and put it right onto the Sled.”
Flex Cabinet
Fixturelite’s Flex Cabinet boasts two usable sides, which together, give micro market operators maximum flexibility in arranging the break room to provide the consumer with an elevated experience.
Available in 32-inch and 45-inch widths, with a 63-inch option on the way, these cabinets allow operators to create a destination station off the wall for coffee, heat and go, even a charging station with seating. Below the counter there are 2 sides. One is 12-inches deep, which can be used for storage or merchandising, and the other side is 18-inches deep, which can be used for merchandising, trash collection for coffee machines, storage, and more. This merchandising space is the same width and depth as the Performance and Executive collections, so planograms transfer easily. Locking doors and light kits are also available.
“If you can dream it, we can most likely do it,” Geis said.
The soon to be announced 63-inch option features a separated compartment specifically designed for storing trash or holding counter-mounted cup and lid dispensers, providing a sanitary method for dispensing cups and lids for beverages. The unit additionally features the ability to house up to 4 microwaves.
“This collection is super, super flexible,” Geis said.
