Five Star Breaktime Solutions has acquired Cajun Vending of Houma LLC. The strategic deal will expand Five Star’s presence across Louisiana’s bayou country and extend its reach in the breakroom market, vending and office coffee service in the Gulf region.
Cajun Vending, Houma, La., was founded in 1993 by Richard Franklin, a retired Shell Oil Co. employee. With the support of his son Dean, Franklin launched the business from his garage with one account. Under the leadership of Derek Franklin, Richard's grandson, and with the additional support of his mother Kathleen and wife Terra, Cajun Vending grew more than 180 accounts offering vending and office coffee services throughout the greater Houma area.
Derek Franklin, who decided to sell the family business to focus on spending more time with his family, will join Five Star Breaktime Solutions help to ensure a seamless transition for Cajun Vending’s customers.

The acquisition of Cajun Vending allows Five Star Breaktime Solutions to expand its market reach and enhance its service offerings, including an increased focus on micro markets, vending, office coffee solutions, and breakroom services, within the region.
