Aramark said it has nominated Patricia E. Lopez and Ken M. Keverian for election to the company’s board of directors. The vote will take at the foodservice company's annual shareholders' meeting on Feb. 1.
Lopez will bring experience in "sizeable" growth, marketing and general management to the Aramark board. Lopez served until April 2020 as chief executive of High Ridge Brands, a Clayton, Dubilier & Rice Co., where she managed a $350 million business in the bath, hair care and oral care. She was previously senior vice president at Estee Lauder Cos. Inc, and before that had the same title at Avon Products Inc. She also held various positions at Procter & Gamble Co. for 25 years.
Keverian brings decades of experience in business strategy to the Aramark board of directors. From 2014 to 2020, he served as chief strategy officer of IBM. He was involved IBM's acquisition of dozens of new businesses, co-leading one deal valued at $34 billion, reportedly the largest in the software industry. From 1988 to 2014, Keverian worked at Boston Consulting Group, most recently as a senior partner.
Board member Irene M. Esteves is retiring and will not stand for reelection at the 2022 shareholders' meeting.
Following the election, the Aramark board will seat12 members.
