Two Italian vending operators are merging to create a single service organization that aims to strengthen their national and European market positions. IVS Group S.A. announced an agreement to acquire Liomatic, creating an expanded organization for vending and coffee services.
Founded by Paolo Caporali in 1973 and based in Perugia, Liomatic has been a major vending operator in the vending sector more than 50 years. The copany reported a turnover of E109 million in 2020 and E144 million in 2019. It operates in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany, and holds minority stakes in other Italian vending companies.
Caporali said, “We see great potential for improvement both in the service offered on a national and international scale, and in boosting the issues of sustainability and enhancement of human capital, which have always been a key asset of our corporate strategy.
Headquartered in Seriate, Italy, IVS Group maintains almost 90 branches that serve clients mainly in Italy, but also in France, Spain and Switzerland. The company operates some 230,000 machines, employs 2,750 people and serves an estimated 15,000 locations.
"The agreement with the Caporali family is an essential step in the inevitable process of consolidation in the vending sector,” said IVS chief executive Dr. Antonio Tartaro. “Those who will be able to offer their customers innovative and increasingly better services will be successful.”
