U.S. Economy Adds 252K Jobs, Unemployment Drops To 5.6 Percent Dec. 2014

The U.S. economy added 252,000 jobs in December 2014 and the unemployment rate declined to 5.6 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. According to the New York Times, the unemployment rate was last that low in June 2008. Job gains occurred in professional and business services, construction, food services and drinking places, health care, and manufacturing. Full report.
