Sam’s Club Brings Scan & Go To Colorado

Jan. 25, 2017

CASTLE ROCK, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The brand new Sam’s Club in Castle Rock will open its doors this Thursday following an 8 a.m. grand opening ceremony. The club located at 5940 Promenade Parkway will offer Scan & Go shopping. The free mobile app allows members the convenience of using their smartphone to scan and pay for their merchandise without ever standing in a checkout line.

“We’re really excited about all the newness this club will offer – from the fresh sushi bar to the digital ordering station at our reinvented café,” said club manager Tricia Trupp. “Our members are going to love the convenience of Scan & Go and Club Pickup.”

More ways to shop

The Castle Rock club will also offer the drive-thru convenience of Club Pickup - a concierge service for members who prefer to place an online order and pick merchandise up at a scheduled time. Sam’s Club associates serve as personal shopping assistants for this service - handpicking the items to fulfill the order. When members arrive at the club, they can check in on their mobile device or use the drive-thru kiosk to trigger the direct-to-vehicle delivery.

Commitment to community

As part of the grand opening festivities, Sam’s Club will be awarding $55,000 in grants to several local nonprofit organizations, including $30,000 to Douglas County School District. The community is invited to attend the grand opening celebration. Non-members invited to experience the new club with a one-day pass available at the Membership desk.

A tiny home is just one of the unique items you can find at this weekend’s Road Show from Colorado’s own EcoCabins. Entrepreneurs interested in participating in future Road Shows should contact their local Sam’s Club manager for more details.
