NAMA Foundation Taking Scholarship Applications Until October 15

NAMA, the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries, is now accepting applications for the NAMA Foundation Scholarship Program. The NAMA Foundation will randomly award five qualified students a $2,500 scholarship for the 2014 spring semester.

An applicant must meet the following criteria:

-          Must be a graduating high school senior or student enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) in a college undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.

-          Must maintain and verify a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.

-          Must be a full-time employee (minimum 40 hours per week) or the son/daughter/legal dependent of a full-time employee of a NAMA member company and be sponsored by that company

-          Must be a U.S. citizen

Applications are being accepted until Oct. 15, 2013. Download a scholarship application from the NAMA Website (www.vending.org), go to the education drop down list and choose foundation scholarships. Applications must be completed. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. A checklist is provided in the application to assist applicants in completing submissions. Winners will be determined through a random drawing of all eligible applicants on November 18. Winners will be notified via email and posted on the NAMA Website www.vending.org.
