USA Technologies, Inc. recently announced that it will be demonstrating two new cashless payment devices at the NAMA OneShow held in Las Vegas, Nev. April 24 to 26. USAT's latest devices for cashless payment and telemetry — the ePort® G9 and ePort® G10 — are designed to bring greater functionality and value to business operators as they optimize their cashless payment platforms to develop new sales opportunities and greater operational efficiencies, according to USAT.
The ePort G9 represents a redesigned, feature-rich offering for USAT's popular JumpStart program. It will include all of the functionality of USAT's NFC-enabled ePort G8, plus new features designed to bring more value to businesses through expanded acceptance options, consumer engagement offerings and advanced diagnostics.
New features include:
- Upgraded to ARM 9 processor
- Wireless EMV for Interact debit in Canada
- Added Serial and Pulse Interfaces
- Enhanced MDB diagnostics
- "High Drive"™ DEX with diagnostics
"We had two goals in mind with the ePort G9 — improved functionality and a reduced cost to drive greater overall value for USAT and for its customers," said Cary M. Sagady, USAT's senior vice president of product management and network services in a prepared statement. "Customers are predominantly acquiring our NFC-enabled ePort G8 in our JumpStart program, so our goal was to enrich that product based on the needs of our customers via a substantially more cost effective design. I am very pleased that we will be able to achieve both."
The ePort G10 will include all of the added features of the new ePort G9 — plus more. This premium offering will include a larger screen for messaging and consumer interaction as well as expanded contact and contactless EMV features.
In addition to the larger screen and new functionality that will be incorporated into the new ePort G9, the G10 will also include:
- EMV contactless L1
- Contactless payment L2 (PayPass, M-Chip, PayWave, qVSDC, Amex, Discover, DPAS, Interac Flash)
- Mifare, ISO14443
- NFC, ISO18092
- EMV Contact L1 and L2
- RS232
- USB
- Ethernet
- Linux OS
