Sugar Foods Corp. announced the promotion of Jim Walsh to chief operating officer. Walsh will also retain his current title and role of executive vice president as well as his current responsibilities for finance, accounting, transportation, distribution, and purchasing.
Walsh has been with Sugar Foods in a variety of roles over his 25-year career, and has participated in every step of the company's growth to six manufacturing facilities, more than 1,000,000-square-feet of production and warehouse space, and the recent milestone of passing the 1,000-employee mark. "I, along with my colleagues, are very proud of everything Jim has accomplished thus far in his career," said Chief Executive Officer, Marty Wilson. "With 10 to 15 percent of our sales each year coming from new products and innovation, it is critical that the internal execution of our customer commitments continues to have the excellence we are known for. Jim and his team will make sure this happens."
