Applications are being accepted for the 2012 Alan Plaisted Scholarship. The scholarship program is in honor and memory of Alan Plaisted, long time owner/operator of Southern Refreshment Services in Tucker, Ga., active member of the Georgia State Council, industry leader and avid supporter, visionary and honored chairman of the Southeastern Vending Association (SEVA). The scholarship has been established by SEVA to advance educational opportunities for all SEVA state members.
The Alan Plaisted Scholarship Fund has approved one all-expenses paid scholarship for the 2012 Michigan State University/National Automatic Merchandising Association Executive Development Program, Oct. 21 to 25. The 2012 recipient will receive full tuition to this program valued at $2,975.00, plus airfare/transportation costs and lodging.
The executive development program is designed for senior level executives and business owners as well as high potential and mid-level managers who have significant general management and functional responsibility in the vending, coffee service, foodservice and related industries.
This program provides a comprehensive look at current successful business practices in these industries, including the environment in which a vending, coffee service, and foodservice company operates, and the key functional areas of management. The executive development program is taught by a group of MSU’s most distinguished faculty, along with speakers with excellent knowledge of and backgrounds in their fields.
