White House To Honor Monogram Food Solutions As Successful Manufacturing Facilities
Two of Monogram Food Solutions’ manufacturing plants will be recognized by The White House and U.S. Department of Agriculture Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, as two of the nation’s most successful manufacturing facilities in rural America.
Monogram’s plant in Martinsville, Va., and its plant in Chandler, Minn., will be honored during a recognition ceremony at The White House. Monogram, a manufacturer and distributor of value-added, processed meat products and snacks, acquired the Martinsville facility in September 2009 and since has increased its number of employees from 135 to its current staff of 406. Since acquiring the Chandler plant in May 2006, Monogram has increased the number of employees there from 125 to its current 380 employees.
“This is a great honor for our company, and especially everyone at Monogram’s Martinsville and Chandler plants who have worked hard and faithfully to make these facilities among the best in the nation,” said Karl Schledwitz, chief executive officer of Monogram Food Solutions in a prepared statement.
George Roden, Monogram’s vice president of operations, will represent the company during the recognition ceremony at the White House.
