Grindmaster-Cecilware™ Tabs Crane Merchandising System’s Jose Avendano As Vice President of Engineering
Grindmaster-Cecilware Corp. announced that Jose G. Avendaño has been appointed as vice president of engineering. He will be based in Louisville, Ky. and will be responsible for all aspects of engineering for the company.
Avendano was most recently employed at Crane Merchandising Systems in St. Louis, Mo. as director of refrigeration and product reliability. He has 30 years of product development, product testing, and project management experience, including 20 years of appliance experience with GE Venezuela and Maytag and 10 years of food service industry experience with Bunn-O-Matic and Crane.
Avendano has earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA. Additionally, he is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and has facilitated several VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) events. He is a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and a past member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
