Automated Merchandising Systems (AMS) of West Virginia has announced its new Epoch series of vendors. The Epoch series consists of all the popular AMS vendors, but introduces a new look, including a new easy-to-read keypad for customers.
The new Epoch features a silver-gray, slightly contoured escutcheon. The point-of-sales card location allows customers to post information such as their company name. The space can also be used for promotion of a particular product. The back-lighted, all-numeric keypad is actually white-on-black-on-white, which AMS claims enhances visibility. The brighter edging around the hopper and coin return add to the new look.
The Epoch series is AD-One, meaning it's the first model that is ADA compliant. The only models not ADA compliant are the vandal-resistant Outsider and the non-insulated WideGem and SlimGem vendors. All other models are available with the compliant hopper height.
