There are now 40 middle and high schools within the Broward County Public School System in Florida that offer VE South vending machines as an option for student lunches, according to the Sun Sentinel news. This is up from two schools in 2012. The machines, operated by Star Food Healthy Vending in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., offer a variety of foods and snacks to students who don’t want to use the cafeteria lunch line.
