PepsiCo To Launch Tropicana Essentials Probiotics Juice

PepsiCo is introducing a Tropicana product that expands the brand into “functional juices”. The company will be launching Tropicana Essentials Probiotics nationally in 2017, with early distribution planned for next month, reports FORTUNE. 

In an interview with the source, Bjorn Bernemann, general manager for the Tropicana brand in North America, said, “We see probiotic juices growing at twice the rate of mainstream juices. [Consumers] want to add more probiotics in their daily routine.” 

Probiotics are live microorganisms that have purported health benefits and are often found in supplements, kombucha and yogurts.
