At the MobileBeat 2017 conference, Greg Chambers, global director of digital innovation at Coca-Cola announced that the company plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) to power next-generation vending machines, VentureBeat reports. Chambers explained that one of the "most annoying things today" is that they were unable to serve two drinks on a vending machine. The app, which launches in about two weeks in places including U.S. universities and locations around Australia and New Zealand, will allow consumers to order a Coca-Cola drink for yourself and another person, then have it available on the vending machine.
