Detention kiosk enables coinless, cashless vending

The Detention Kiosk allows Smart Card holders to add funds with cash, a credit card (if that option is added) and PayPal. Family and friends can send funds to a cardholder by logging into a specified database. The cardholder then can go to the kiosk and transfer the funds to the card. For added security, the cardholder also can transfer funds back to the account. Intended for detention centers where removing coins from the facility is important, the smart card readers are designed to be the main payment system on the vending machines if not the only payment system. All vending readers can work offline or online for ease of reporting. The detention kiosk can work as a loading station offline but will need internet to allow credit card use and account transfer.
