NAMA Debuts New Technology Blog: “Dr. K’s Tech Times”

(CHICAGO) January 12, 2015 –NAMA announced today the debut of Dr. K’s Tech Times, a new technology blog featuring monthly posts in conjunction with NAMA Tech News, the association’s monthly technology newsletter.  Dr. K’s Tech Times is written by NAMA Knowledge Source partner and industry expert Michael L. Kasavana, Ph.D.

“Technology is key in today’s business world, and industry-specific technology is growing and developing every day in the vending and refreshment services arena,” Kasavana said.

“Through this blog my goal is to provide guidance to NAMA members on how to identify and leverage technology to best enhance the consumer experience, generate revenue and streamline operations.”

Dr. K’s Tech Times will make its debut in NAMA Tech News in the Tuesday, January 13, 2015 issue. Members can view his post through the email newsletter or directly through the NAMA website at: http://www.vending.org/technology/blog.

Michael L. Kasavana is the emeritus NAMA Endowed Professor at the School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University. He recently retired after nearly four decades as a professor. Kasavana’s expertise and research center on information technology, electronic commerce and cashless transactions in the hospitality industry. He is the author of six books and is a frequent presenter at industry events. Dr. Kasavana was honored as NAMA’s Industry Person of the Year in 2011.
