Spell Capital Partners, a private equity firm, has finalized the purchase of Pearson Candy Co., according to CandyUSA. Pearson Candy has been manufacturing sweets for more than 100 years including Bit-O-Honey and Salted Nut Roll. The investment by Spell Capital Partners will allow it to modernize operations and offerings. All employees are reported to be kept.
