Based on pre-launch consumer-testing, Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch earned some of the highest consumer scores of any product ever launched by the company.* Hershey is delighting consumers with this new innovation by combining the classic Hershey’sChocolate that consumers love with the creamy, crunchy twist they desire in new Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch bars.
To meet the growing demand for multi-textural eating experiences and various snacking occasions, Hershey reimagined its iconic chocolate bar, pairing it with layers of crunchy cookie bits and decadent fillings to offer an indulgent, textured snacking experience. Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch will be unveiled for the first time at The Hershey Company’s exhibit at the National Association of Convenience Stores annual show October 18-21 in Atlanta, Ga. Beginning this October, National Cookie Month, and continuing through 2017, Hershey’s brand will support the new innovation and launch with various marketing initiatives.
Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch bars will come in three delicious flavors: Caramel, Vanilla Crème and Mint – which combine the crunchy cookie texture, layered with a decadent filing, all wrapped in creamy, genuineHershey’s Chocolate. Each piece is perfectly portion controlled at 90-100 calories and made of three ofHershey’s iconic chocolate “pips” to create a convenient, layered, snack-able treat. New Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch bars will be available at retail nationally starting December 2016 – just in time for the holidays, making it a perfect new treat for Santa, or even as an added treat to holiday entertainers’ snacks and sweets spreads.
Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch bars will be offered in multiple sizes perfect for a variety of snacking occasions and for sharing. Sizes include a 6.3-oz. bag that is filled with nine pieces of individually wrapped Hershey’sCookie Layer Crunch (SRP $4.19; all flavors), a 3.5-oz. “XL Bar” featuring five pieces, (SRP $2.89; all flavors), a 2.1-oz. “King Size Bar” that has three pieces (SRP $1.69; available in Caramel only), and a two-piece, 1.4-oz. bar, perfect for on the go snacking (SRP $0.99, available in Caramel only).
