Over the weekend, President Trump announced his administration would impose 25% tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada.
On Monday, February 3, President Trump announced he would delay U.S. tariffs targeting imports from Mexico after that country agreed to send troops to the U.S.-Mexico border.
The tariffs could drive up food prices in categories such as fruits and vegetables, grains, sugar, tree nuts and livestock. This could have a trickle-down effect on the vending industry, as food producers absorb those additional costs. Coffee prices, already high, are expected to increase should tariffs go into effect.
