Aramark Donation Program Targets 5 Million Face Masks to Ronald McDonald Houses

Jan. 14, 2021

PHILADELPHIA -- Aramark recently launched a face mask donation campaign to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities locations across the U.S. For every nonmedical mask 3-pack (washable) purchased by an Aramark customer, the company will donate a nonmedical mask 3-pack (disposable) to RMHC chapters.

To kick start the campaign, which runs through Dec. 14, 2021, Aramark has committed to making a donation of 50,000 disposable face masks to be distributed among 50 RMHC chapters, with the goal to donate five million.

“On behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Aramark for their continued support of our mission and the millions of children and families we serve each year,” said RMHC president and chief executive Kelly Dolan. “This in-kind donation comes at a time of immense need for our chapters and we are grateful to be included in this tremendous initiative.”

Since the onset of the pandemic almost a year ago, Aramark has been providing food and resources to communities. It redeployed its Uniform Services division production lines to manufacture essential personal protective equipment (PPE) needed during the public health crisis, with a focus on helping the heroes working in hospitals and in other critical roles. The company donated 250,000 face masks to the American Red Cross, to be worn by Red Cross staff at blood drives, and 25,000 cloth masks to the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities.
