Hasty Tasty Food Service Buys HVP Vending of Morrison, IL

Hasty Tasty Food Service (HTFS), a Canteen franchise in Davenport, IA, also operating as Valley Vending, has acquired HVP Vending, Inc. of Morrison, IL. "It was a good fit,"  said Galen Starkweather, owner of HTFS. "Purchasing them gave us a solid base to go farther North and get many experienced employees as well. "  

HTFS closed its Clinton, IA, branch in favor of moving operations to Morrison. It will continue to service the eight existing HVP routes and offer employment to most of the HVP workers.  

Adviser on the transaction was Marc Rosset, founder and president of Professional Vending Consultants, a specialized intermediary for acquisitions of full-line vending and office coffee service companies in the U.S. and Canada. PVC has represented more than 300 transactions with gross sales value of over $770 million since 1995. "Marc makes it easy," said Starkweather about working with Rosset. This is the fourth acquisition they have completed together.
