Unified Strategies Group (USG) is pleased to announce that Ed Cunningham, formerly Vice President of Purchasing, has been promoted to a new role as Chief Operations Officer (COO). Ed possesses 40 years of experience in the industry and is a true veteran and friend to many. This managerial move will strengthen USG’s position as a Co-op and is expected to bring innovation and efficiency to the organization while continuing to drive increasing value for the USG members.

Ed will maintain his role managing over 200 supplier contractual agreements and overseeing Purchase Power™. He will also manage the implementation of supplier marketing and programs on behalf of the USG membership, while also assuming more operational influence and planning of strategic executions.

CEO Brian Faley stated, “USG and its members are fortunate to have Ed as a key player in the organization for so many years. He’s been an extremely valuable asset for us and increasing his role to Chief Operating Officer will only strengthen the Co-op further.”

Many know Ed not just for his professional influence on the industry, but for his love of food and catering for friends and family. Ed has promised to continue on with this role as well.
