(CHICAGO) December 6, 2016 – The NAMA Foundation announced the recipients for its 2016 undergraduate scholarship program. The program awards post-high school, non-renewable scholarships of $2,500 to three recipients chosen at random.

The Foundation received nearly 160 applications this year. To qualify for a scholarship, applicants are required to maintain a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be a full-time employee or the son, daughter or legal dependent of a full-time employee at a NAMA member company, and be sponsored by that company.

The three winners are:

  •       Jose Gonzalez, Northlake, IL, sponsored by A.H. Management
  •       William G. Schneider, Memphis, TN, sponsored by Monogram Foods
  •       Kirsten M. Schwotzer, Jefferson, OH, sponsored by AVI FoodSystems

“The NAMA Foundation is pleased to continue this long-standing benefit, supporting the employees and children of NAMA members as they continue their higher education studies,” said Lindsey Nelson, Executive Director of the NAMA Foundation.

“This year, in particular, we are pleased to note that all three recipients are pursuing studies in the convenience services related fields of Business Hospitality, Supply Chain Management and Restaurant Management.
