Skittles brand, owned by Mars’ Wrigley, has risen to the level of no. 1 non-chocolate candy favored in the U.S. retail channels, says an article from Fortune. Based on Nielsen data, the Skittles candy actual ranked first starting last year, prompting Mars’ Wrigley to expand its Wrigley plant in Yorkville, IL, in order to meet the increasing demand for Skittles.
