South Carolina Policeman Arrests Suspected Vending Theives

A Johnsonville, SC police officer observed a car suspiciously driving in circles, then a man entering it and the vehicle driving off, reports SCnow.com. The police officer thought it suspicious, and when it was reported the vending machine at KJ’s IGA Market was burglarized, he went in pursuit. When searched, the man exiting the market was found with $102 in dollar bills stuffed in his pants as well as more in the vehicle. He claimed to have won the money in a poker game, but could not provide the details. The man and the vehicle's driver were arrested and charged with malicious injury to property for damage to the vending machine. The man was also charged with petit larceny and possession of tools used to commit a crime. He was caught on video surveillance breaking into the vending machine.
