March 2016 Jobs Report: U.S. Economy Adds 215K Jobs

The U.S. economy added 215,000 jobs in March while the unemployment rate stayed steady at 5 percent.

The average hourly earnings increased by 7 cents to $25.43, according to CBS News.

Employment increased in retail trade, construction, and health care. Job losses occurred in manufacturing and mining.
