CINCINNATI – December 10, 2015 - AdvancePierre™ Foods (APF), a nationally-recognized, fully integrated producer and seller of sandwiches and value-added proteins, introduces the Pierre Signatures Chicken Salad with Bacon on a Croissant to the premium sandwich line.
The 6.84 oz. sandwich, hand-wrapped in clear film for fresh-made appeal, features a sweet relish chicken salad topped with Applewood-smoked bacon, all on a flakey croissant. The result is a sweet and savory lunch or dinner item.
“The chicken salad sandwiches often sold in convenience stores typically are only good for a few days, resulting in high spoilage and low margins,” said Tony Schroder, president of convenience channels at APF. “Our new offering lasts longer, maintains its freshness and, therefore, is better for the bottom line.”
The new Pierre Signatures sandwich has a 14-day refrigerated, 12-month frozen shelf life. The sandwiches, packed 12 to a case, are available now nationwide.
