Police Recommend Operators Use Cameras, Bars To Protect From Vending Crime

The town of Tyler, TX, experienced a string of vending machine burglaries at apartments and motels last weekend, according to the Tyler Morning Telegraph.  In one of the robberies, thieves damaged the vending machine and stole a video surveillance camera. Despite this, Tyler Police’s public information officer recommends vending machine operators use video cameras or place the machine behind bars to add a level of protection. Full article.
