Colombian Coffee Federation President To Speak At 2013 CTW

Juan Esteban Orduz, president of the Colombian Coffee Federation in North America, will be the keynote speaker at NAMA’s Coffee, Tea and Water (CTW) show, announced Roger Stewart, NAMA’s director, coffee and water service. Stewart thanked The J.M. Smucker Co., Peet’s Coffee, Mars Drinks and Starbucks for sponsoring Orduz’s keynote address. 

“Juan Esteban is a coffee expert who will focus on the link between quality and sustainability – an important topic, one of growing interest for our members,” Stewart said in a prepared statement.

Orduz, former president of the National Coffee Association, is a leading authority on the business of coffee and has served in a number high profile positions within the government of Columbia as well as within the private sector.

The Colombian Coffee Federation is a non-profit dedicated to raising the standard of living for more than 560,000 Colombian coffee farmers and their communities through the cultivation and worldwide promotion of Colombian coffee. The Federation invests profits from the sale of Colombian coffee into social programs that benefit millions of Colombians, helping to develop roads, schools, electric power supplies, housing, and health care centers. 

The CTW show, the largest education and networking event for coffee, tea and water service operators nationwide, will be held November 12 to 14 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
